Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user dlxrevolution.

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose your username?

dlxrevolution:

"I actually have heard about Newgrounds for a long time. If I had to name a date, I'd say I first heard about it around 2004 - 05, when I first really got into internet gaming. Back then, however, to me it was only another website name, and I figured it was just a gaming site much similar to a Miniclip.com or aCandyStand.com and differed when it came to actually checking the site out. The first time I had truly came to Newgrounds was when a user on the Xgen Forums made a thread advertising his music and asking for advice. So he linked a song in which he submitted on this site. This may sound funny, but I my retardation is what ultimately got me to sign up for this site, because I thought that the user had made the song on this site, implying that this site had a Game/DAW that you could make music on and submit to the audio portal. I was truly let down when I found out you had to use a third party software and submit an mp3 file, and if I would've known that in the first place, I probably would've never signed up. I'll get more in depth with that subject later on in this questionnaire. I also remember the Audio taking forever to validate, and figured because it took that long for my first submissions, it would take that long for all of them.

The Community

Oh boy where do I start... Okay. The first time I went on the forums, I couldn't stand it, and thought it was a piece of shit. I also didn't read the rules, but that's beside the point. I never did, and still don't understand what's so bad about introducing yourself in the BBS, and didn't see anything wrong with the idea of having an introduction forum so that newcomers to this site can feel welcomed, instead of jumping in without getting to know the atmosphere. This, combined with the audio troubles, convinced me never to come back to this site again. Months later, however, a friend of mine IRL, whom I will mention later on, got me interested in the site again when I realized that after validation, your audio uploads instantly.

So all in all, if it wasn't for the audio portal, I wouldn't be here.

When I first started playing this MMORPG on Xgen called "Stick Arena", my main account name was DLX. It stood for Deadly (Dangerous) Lethal Xenial. (shut up >.<) In 2008, when Ballistick came out, someone had offered to buy a lab pass for me, and only needed my password. Being the dumbass that I was, I told him what it was and as it turns out, his true intentions were to steal my account (Scamming). Broken hearted and left with despair, I decided to make a new account named dlxrevolution. I often use that name for other sites and forums that I signed up for, such as:

xgenstudios.com and mmaforum.com I've always entertained the idea of getting a name change, and change my user to DLX, but seeing as that user already exists (>.<), that plan is out the window. Maybe I might ask to become D.L.X. sometime in the future."

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?

dlxrevolution:

"I have, in fact, changed my behaviors on this site since sign up. I've learned to appreciate cock jokes more. At first, I was like "Cock Jokes? Maaaan that's HOMO!". Now I'm like "Cock Jokes...yummm". I have also developed an alternate Newgrounds personality on the BBS where I usually troll and try to make jokes, aside from the occasional serious and non-witty responses, whereas in the audio portal, I act more like my usual self.

My time on this site, however, has not changed me in real life. If I have changed in real life, my time on this site had nothing to do with that change, more so me growing up as a person."

Are there any other users that you like, and how do they affect you?

dlxrevolution: "First and foremost, I must mention:

Fire118 - He is one of my good friends and one of the few people on NG who know me IRL. He ultimately got me back interested in coming here, and if it wasn't for him, you guys wouldn't see me. So, big up's to him.

Friends:

MattReeves - A buddy of mine that's in a Facebook music group that Fire118 created. I had made a song called Fadin in which he did a cover that I thought was UBER AWESOME. (Please remind me never to say that again). He's also critiqued some of my songs and has helped me become a better musician.

Lublub194 - Another buddy of mine in our facebook music group. The dude makes pretty good music.

Mizzjuicyflava - Got to add her on this list. She was one of the first BBS users to support me and my music making. She pretty nice and is also one of the coolest people on the BBS. <3

MiloBased - Milobased, or "BasedMilo" as I like to call him, is a pretty cool cat IMO. He's one of the funnier people on the BBS, and often gets into lots of trouble. Milo is like that friend that you love him so much, but you're scared to take him anywhere because you're afraid he'll fuck shit up. One thing I can honestly say is that he's very polarizing.

Skaren - The Leader of the only official Skype Chat group (That I know of), me and him have talked about some random shit, and I've found the we have a lot in common. Social situations, high school relations, shit like that. He has always shown a great appreciation for Rainbow Dash (Character on My Little Pony), and though I don't watch MLP, I have always supported him in that respect, and the notion that "Rainbow Dash is the best pony. If you think anything else, then your opinion is wrong)

Asandir - Asandir is not only someone that I consider a friend, but someone that tries to help every consider it a friend. Until I receive actual proof of what Asandir's gender is, I'm just going to refer to Asandir as an "it", as 90% of people on NG refer to Asandir as a he when Asandir itself told me it was a girl. But gender aside, Asandir is a pretty cool person and one of the more beloved people on NG.

GameJunkie - GJ has done his best to remind everyone of who the most notable Male lesbian is (Which is yours truly). He and I have had interesting conversations in the NG chat about different things ranging from Wealth, to racing, and even military affairs.

Madcow - Not sure if he considers me as a friend or not, but he's always been one of my favorite posters on the bbs. He seems to take on an "I don't give a fuck" bad boy persona that I've always found to be hilarious.

Other friends...

Necroticcat, Nor, New-groundforme, Blauwwolkje92, Lady-Stardust, BizzarroPMP, MumboJimmyTheCaterpillar, llssm, Jester, ImaTouko-chan, Roolygirl, WadeFulp, Amaranthus, Jay, Blazejsg, Krutches, Cody104, Mia, Tails5121, Gagsy.

If whoever's reading this considers me a friend and I haven't mentioned their name, DON'T THINK I DON'T LOVE YOU <3 <3 <3 ^_~ "

Are there any users that you would consider enemies or that you just don't like?

dlxrevolution:

"No.

I find that it is childish, and a complete utter waste of time and energy to consider someone on the internet most likely 3,000 miles away to be an "enemy", or "arch nemesis" unless they have done something negatively affect your life. The most likely reason I find that someone hates someone else over the internet is usually because they strongly have a different outlook on life, in which case I would consider that to be more of a "Stop liking...WHAT I DON'T LIKE!!!" type of deal.

Although...

If I HAD to mention someone on this subject, it would be AZbull. There was never any bad blood, more like a friendly rivalry, as we sometimes traded words on the BBS when I first started becoming active."

What is your opinion about the forums? Is there one forum that you prefer? And is there another forum user that you want to see getting interviewed by me?

dlxrevolution:

"The BBS is a good place to show your stuff. And by stuff, I mean smarts, music, art, movies, and more. The BBS has always been a cool place to communicate different ideas and opinions about different subjects. The General forum has always been the main forum that I post on, though I started off posting in politics. I the randomness and the hilarity of the forums is what has drawn me to somewhat enjoy posting in them."

I guess that you have an opinion about the moderators of Newgrounds. Do you think that they do a great job or not?

dlxrevolution:

"The moderators here do a fairly good job; I have to give it to them. They are good at letting the users have some fun on the general forum, while at the same time, not letting things get out of hand. One complaint I have, is the rule that "if you post in a spam thread, you will get banned". Some moderators strictly enforce that policy while others are more lenient. It can be a bogus rule at times, because it can be difficult to spot a spam thread, and if you do feel like you've posted in spam thread without realizing, it is always too late. One other complaint is that moderation can be inconsistent at times, with some possible Spam threads surviving, and while others of the same stature get locked. Also, some mods will ban you a lot longer than others (so I've been told), while other things tend to get past them. Some mods will also make up rules that aren't listed on Newgrounds and will ban you after the fact, something that I consider to be abuse. However, I haven't had much trouble with getting banned, so I won't elaborate too much more on this subject.

I've noticed that many people in this interview usually put who they think the worst user on the moderation team is. All of them are good in my humble opinion, but if I had to name a worst mod, it would probably be EyeLovePoozy. He can be power hungry at times (that for which I can't blame him, because I guarantee there are some BBS user's that would be far worse if put in the same position), going a bit overboard on banning users, and locking potentially good threads, and sometimes even breaking his own rules. Even though I consider him the worst of the mods, I also consider him to be the moderator with the mod since of humor, as some of the things he posts are rather funny and he tends to be a troll. So he's a better user than he is a mod."

Would you like to become a moderator on Newgrounds? If so, what kind of moderator?

dlxrevolution:

"Moderation isn't something I've been aiming for as a Newgrounder. But, if I got offered the opportunity, I can't say that I would turn it down. I do know that once you become moderator, it is essentially your Job" on the internet to keep things in order, and your margin for error goes down 1,000%.

I'd be a pretty lenient moderator overall. If a user post's something that I strongly disagree with and what the most of the rest of NG would consider heinous, I most likely wouldn't ban that user because I believe in freedom of speech, and what you say shouldn't be regulated unless it's strongly against the rules. Otherwise, I'd probably be just like the other moderators and ban people that break the rules, and only something that is in the rules."

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

dlxrevolution:

"I was completely blown away. I mean seriously, my hair literally looked like Freakazoid when I opened up the newly redesigned Newgrounds for the first time. I could easily tell they had put a lot of time and work into redesigning Newgrounds and I must say that they did an excellent job.

However, if there were complaints that I just had to make, it would be that I was disappointed that there is no edit button on the forums. But of course, some people don't want an edit button in fear of trollers haven't more leverage in their arguments by going back and editing their posts. So for me, that's far of an opinionated suggestion rather than a logical one.

Another complaint that I think most will (or should) agree with is that the flashes, unless created a certain way, don't have a video control feature. As soon as you open the page that the video is on, the flash is GOING to play instantly, and as loud as possible rather you intended or not unlike the Audio, where you can skip through the song, play/stop/pause, change the volume, etc... That is one aspect of the flash system that I think Newgrounds is way behind on. But, I seldom visit the flash portal anyway; this isn't too much of a big deal."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

So, far you made one flash. Do you think that you will make more flashes in the future? Tell me also which is your favorite flash on Newgrounds?

dlxrevolution:

"Actually, I wasn't the sole creator of the flash, Milobased is. But, I did take part in doing the illustration and music, while he did the flash work. I do plan on submitting some flash later on as time goes by. I've already got some ideas in my head that I have been thinking about making into a flash or flash series. "

You are an audio artist. Tell our readers how you started to make music and what kind of music you make.

dlxrevolution:

"Frankly, it depends on your definition of "Making Music" when I started.

If you count beating on the table and lollygagging as making music, then I've been doing it for as long as I can remember.

If you count playing different tunes (Not exactly well) on piano's and organs, I've been making music since I was five.

If you count going on an online limited DAW that you can make and save music electronically, I've been making music since I was eight. When I first started truly getting into the internet, my dad introduced to this game on Shockwave.com called Grooveblender 2, a game where you can put together preset patterns and drumbeats to create different songs. After that era, when I was around 11 or 12, I discovered this game in my shed called MTV Music Maker for the Playstation. I remember all summer long playing and making different songs on that game. I would leave the Playstation on for days because I didn't have a memory card. After that summer, I lost the game and was search for a new outlet to satisfy my music making needs.

From when I was 11-12 to when I was 16, I didn't really have a true musical outlet to create and save songs. I would play different music making games on different websites, but they just weren't enough to satisfy my musical needs. Then I heard about Newgrounds and its audio portal (as earlier stated). I listened to some of the songs (that I thought were made on this site), thought to myself "Yes! I finally found my musical outlet!", and instantly signed up, only to find out you can't make music on here, you need to use a program. Bummered as I was, friend of mine (Earlier stated) told me about FL Studio. So I started using that, submitted some stuff from there on, and I've been here ever since."

I can vaguely remember that you once thought that you were banned from submitting audio. Tell me what happened back then.

dlxrevolution:

"It was horrific, probably my worst day as a Newgrounder. I had gotten into a situation where I had accepted an invite to be a part of a song that had illegal material on it (Didn't know had the time). Since the mods couldn't prove everyone that had accepted the invite wasn't really involved, they just banned everyone associated with the song (which was about a good 30 people).

So of course I was angry at this, because not only had I pretty much signed up for this site to submit music and now I was banned, I have always been as meticulous as possible about keeping myself from getting banned from the audio portal (being that most of the bans are permanent). If I had the slightest of an inkling that a song that I was about to submit might be illegal or have illegal content, I made a thread about it on the audio forum to insure that it was okay to submit the song. Now I was banned for something unrealistic (30+ people a part of an illegal song), that wasn't even in the rules. I had even made a secondary account, dIxrevolution in order to submit music, then link my main account so that it could be credited.

But in the end, everything had settled, and I was happy and able to submit music. But future reference for the Staff/Mods, don't just make rules up as you go along. If you're going to enforce something, make sure it's in the rules so people can read it beforehand, and dumbasses that don't read can get what they deserve. Also (if it hasn't been done already) when someone invites you to be credited for their submission, there should be a notice at the bottom somewhere that if the song has illegal material, and you take credit, you also accept responsibility once disciplinary action ensues, even if you had nothing to do with the submission. I know it sounds dumb the someone accepts to take credit for a submission they weren't a part of, but sometimes an online friend may make a successful piece, and feel like his/her friends are supporters, and some people will accept the invite (in the case, 30 people).

/ rant"

The Audio Portal is an important part of Newgrounds. Tell me what you think about it and what kind of improvements you would like to see in the future.

dlxrevolution:

"What can I say about the audio portal...aw man...

Well, the system is MUCH better than the previous design version, and while the voting is still flawed, the ranking, and song classification system is much more organized.

My suggestion is that there should be more genre's (Gospel, Opera, ...etc). I don't want to have to continually submit something as miscellaneous when that songs genre is a clear classification, and something that just hasn't been added to the NG list. But then again, that's a pretty broad statement considering...you know...("Madness step! Godstep! What about Grind-Core! >:O")"

Every person has secrets. Can you tell one of yours or something else that we didn't know about you yet?

dlxrevolution:

"Secrets eh?

I'll tell you an embarrassing story. One Saturday when I was 7, I was at Taikwondo practice, and they were having a competition to see who would get to the next belt. Towards the end of the ceremony, we were doing our fighting motions in unison, and I decided to be the jackass funny guy to pretend he was the Kung Fu master. Everybody else was going what they were supposed to do, while I was doing combination punches, and dropkicks, and combinations. Little did I know, my Dad was sitting RIGHT THERE in the front seat. Even less did I know that the WHOLE Thing was being recorded. Then to top it off, there was a guy who actually knew what he was doing, that did a whole bunch of tricks at the end (With nun-chucks and all), and that just made me feel terrible. So they replayed the ceremony on the big screen, and the camera was following me while I was acting a fool. I was very ashamed. Looking back at it, it was funny, but terrible at the same time."

Interview with dlxrevolution

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user Protagonist.

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose the username stick101 and changed it to Protagonist?

Protagonist:

"I found NG in 06, back when I was 15. I think the game I played here was called four second something, after I played it I began trying out all of the games and really grew fond of the site. So I made an account the next day, using the username stick101. At the time, I hadn't really put any heart of effort into my username so it was just a generic thing I typed up real quick. Then I made my first post, yikes. Soon I somehow forgot the password to this account and started using another, but then about 3 years after my first post I just remembered it out of the blue. So returning to NG 3 years later, I realized my username was pretty bad. I PM'd Wade and asked him to change it to logic. Once again, no real heart, I just thought it sounded cool. I soon realized the username didn't match me much at all, because I don't really know how to explain logic, and never really tried to be so serious as to make my posts logical. So I had it changed to Protagonist. Protagonist is probably my username in everything now, the reason being I use it to represent my favorite characters. It's also how, I feel everyone sees themselves in life. To any person, they're the protagonist of their own life, and I felt like owning that name."

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?

Protagonist:

"I've changed a lot as a user I think. I was relatively bad, but now I'd like to think I'm a bit better. I'm not trying to be modest, I just generally don't know what makes a good user a good user. I haven't contributed anything to the site, so that's out. But I have been on the forums a while, and I think that sometimes my post quality is pretty good when I don't mess it up for whatever reason. Still though, sometimes I cannot resist to post a cheesy one liner Or a captioned image. Old habits die hard I guess? As for real life, NG has seen me through a lot. I've become a man since I've joined NG, and gone through jobs and relationships. NG has sadly but fortunately, been a prominent part of my life. It's a pretty damn cool place, and there are lots of cool people here. I remember when my dog died, I made a thread about it. I got some pretty funny responses and some pretty empathetic ones. It was nice."

Are there any other users that you like, and how do they affect you?

Protagonist:

"Kanon comes to mind, hes a pretty cool guy. We play together sometimes on the PS3, Or minecraft. He affects me cause the guy is nuts, but hes funny and cool. I remember once, me, Kanon and Dicktation ( also a cool guy ) stood up to about 4:00am talking on skype, and playing minecraft. We screwed around more than actual building, I remember we were just hanging out in this giant stone mansion we made. There is also Shade, another good pals of mine. He organized this whole Reservoir dogs thing we've all got going on. There others included are Natick, Boomstick and doberman7. Pretty cool guys, all we lack now is a Mr Blue. But then again who the hell wants to be Mr Blue?

There's also Skaren and Jester, they're pretty cool, even if their close friendship comes off as a bit weird from spectators such as myself. ( I'm kidding). They're both pretty funny, and I enjoy their posts."

Are there any users that you would consider enemies or that you just don't like?

Protagonist:

"Enemies? Not really. As for users I don't like, It's pretty situational. Most of the times I don't like Xenomit, his posts come off as attention whorish, and ignorant. But sometimes he can be funny. Another hit and miss user when it comes to being funny (imo) is Mumbo. I feel like the guy spends a little too much time trying. But I don't hate these guys, nor consider them enemies. They're just the type of users who put me off from NG sometimes. But to each their own I suppose."

What is your opinion about the forums? Is there one forum that you prefer? And is there another forum user that you want to see getting interviewed by me?

Protagonist:

"My opinion on the forums? Well I guess they're the same as they have always been. Of course, when we think back we feel like it was different, but it wasn't. The person behind the screen was different sure, and that's why forces us to think that way (IMO). Sometimes I feel like NG was better a couple of years back, but really it's me who's changed, and this probably goes for any other user too. That being said, I mostly post in general Or Video Games. I don't like to be resisted in what to talk about, hence why I stick around these forums most. I used to go to the writing forums a bit, they're nice, but my writing is a bit too risque for NG, even with things like "cock joke" being normal. Even so, the writing forums are mature, I'm not discrediting that forum. Just a bit dead, but still filled with some quality stuff. As for your last question, I suggest Klobb17. He seems like at some point he was really inactive, but hes making a comeback. Hes a pretty cool guy."

I guess that you have an opinion about the moderators of Newgrounds. Do you think that they do a great job or not?

Protagonist:

"I think lately, they have been too busy to work as hard as they usually do. I try to never call someone lazy, Or a slacker. Because beyond their username I don't know them in real life. I think they're all doing a great job, and that they will do even better when they have the time to."

Would you like to become a moderator on Newgrounds? If so, what kind of moderator?

Protagonist:

"I'm not cut out to be a moderator. One problem I'd have is I'd constantly ask one of the veteran moderators if " It's okay to ban this guy for X reason. " I'm way too hesitant, and If got impatient I might just start to ban like a madman. Besides, I prefer to just sit in the sidelines and relax. I feel like mods kind of lose some of the freedom of a regular user, and are forced to be a bit more strict towards their own posting habits, as to lead by example."

You were a member before the redesign 2007. Tell me how you experienced Newgrounds back then and what changes you liked about the redesign.

Protagonist:

"I remember the icons being improved, and I was so pleased by just that. Everything was wider too, felt less cramped and easier to see. They also simplified it a bit, and made it more one color then the mini-stripes thing they had going on. It was pretty much a win, win for me."

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Protagonist:

"I have to be honest, I despised this redesign when it first came out. But I've gotten used to it. It's a lot more lenient, which is good. They've allowed custom icons, and png support. Although the level icons, were given a back seat. NG always had some sort of RPG feel to it, and voting was not only helpful, but fun. Seeing that new icon was pretty cool, and it was very noticeable. Now that icons have been significantly shrunk, that small feeling of accomplishment is kind of gone. As for the good, other than the custom icons. The site seems more organized and accessible. I never even knew about the file dump until this redesign, ( It was in the previous version, right? ). Which is pretty cool, plus I like how each portal looks unique. My favorite in particular is how the audio portal looks, the green is very relaxing."

Which is your favourite retro and/or current console? Can you tell me which video game was the first you ever played.

Protagonist:

"My favorite console is definitely SNES. It had a huge library, and at the time was like a 2nd baby sitter to me. I think the first video game I played was Final Fight 2. My cousin and I would play it all day, and when he left I would Super Mario World ( because I SUCKED alone atFinal Fght. ) My favorite current console is pretty much PC, but if you don't count that, then my answer is PS3. I feel like it's the better of the two current gen consoles, simply because It doubles as a blu-ray player. Not it's major selling point, but I do like convenience."

Video games have heavily evolved in terms of graphics in the last decade. How important are graphics for you in a game? Do you prefer realistic graphics or graphics that have more of an artistic value?

Protagonist:

"Graphics don't matter much to me, unless they have no effort or artistic charm at all. I usually go for gameplay, but a game that looks bland and boring isn't going to hold my attention. That being said, Wind Waker is one of my favorite games, and the graphics are beautiful, but most people think it looks too kiddish."

2012 is halfway over. Do you have a favourite video game that was released in that year and is there a game that you are looking forward to?

Protagonist:

"My favorite video game this year? Hard to choose, but I think I'll go with Max Payne 3. As usual with the Max Payne series, it was a wonderful narrative. It had amazing graphics, great gameplay and an awesome story to boot. But I wouldn't expect any less from Rockstar."

Protagonist:

"When I was younger, I used hide behind the bed and play with my sister's barbies. I used to give them voices and make them fight in a manner similar to the way me and my sister did. Pretty weird."

Protagonist:

"I don't know. More posts I guess. I don't think I'll actually contribute anything to NG in the form of flash/music/artwork. It's just not my thing, but I sure do love to enjoy the work of the people who do, do it for a living/hobby."

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user Blazejsg.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose the username Blazejsg?

Blazejsg:

"First of all, I didn't join newgrounds the first time I found out about the place. I liked playing games during Middle-School times, I really don't remember what year specifically though. Then later own I said "What the hey." and I created an account. (11/27/09) So it was really just out of the blue. The reason I chose "Blazejsg" was because a pokemon named "Blaziken" which I thought was really "cool" looking. JSG are my initials which stand for Jenny Silva Garza."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?

Blazejsg:

"Um, yes, I've grown more use to the people here. at first I didn't know how to react to these people, but now definitely know how to "fit in" if that's the right word. I used to be more energetic and playful, but I've been facing tough times which has made me behave more serious, mature, sympathetic and obscure. In another words: Yes. A lot."

Are there any other users that you like, and how do they affect you?

Blazejsg:

"I really like BizzarroPMP. (As in a best friend.) He's made me feel comfortable around here ever since we started talking to each other. He's a great friend, and I would take a bullet for him any day. He made me my signature (which you see today), and has helped me color all of my drawings I draw using "SAI". Thank you for being there Bizzaro you've always been like a brother to me. <3 Another friend would be TheDark. Even though we don't talk much anymore, I really appreciate him asking me how my day was and asked me how I feel or if i'm "ok". He also asks me for advice which I am always honest and happy to give it to him. Thank you.MiloBased, I love you too. Lol. A friend named Coop who is a moderator is a friend of mine; I guess sorta we don't really talk anymore."

Are there any users that you would consider enemies or that you just don't like?

Blazejsg:

"I don't hate anyone, and having enemies is childs play. I don't want the drama, and I don't care what they say behind my back. I still think they're interesting human beings if I had any enemies."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

What is your opinion about the forums? Is there one forum that you prefer? And is there another forum user that you want to see getting interviewed by me?

Blazejsg:

"General, I guess. There isn't much to see in the forums really, it's just a bunch of grown men/women having "fun" and messing around. It's really nice to find a interesting topic, and sharing thoughts and what not.BizzarroPMP."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

I guess that you have an opinion about the moderators of Newgrounds. Do you think that they do a great job or not?

Blazejsg:

"Eh.. sometimes when we really need moderator(s), they aren't really "there" to help said problem. I'm still grateful that they get the job done anyway, just not satisfied with how many are available."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Would you like to become a moderator on Newgrounds? If so, what kind of moderator?

Blazejsg:

"Yes, yes I would. I'd be very vigilant and always happy to help those in need. The kind would be a "General Moderator." Since that's where I'm most likely roaming it's mostly where you'll see my whereabouts. I wonder if that day will ever come. Probably not."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

You were on vacation in Mexico earlier this year. Please tell my readers how you experienced that vacation. I wen't with my grandparents to city of Monterrey.

Blazejsg:

"It was really beautiful, but looks can be deceiving. I say that for a reason for all the things that seem to be occurring down there. It's really heartbreaking how something so beautiful can become some sort of war zone. Anyway, the vacation was a great experience, and I will cherish the precious moments with it's everlasting memories."

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Blazejsg:

"It's alright I'm not going to complain because it's not a big deal. I like the that our fellow users make for the background. I really appreciate their hard work and dedication. I guess the new redesign just got more modern to the generation we're living in. I guess i'll miss the old Newgrounds. I thought it was much more easier to get around before honestly."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Every person has secrets. Can you tell one of yours or something else that we didn't know about you yet?

Blazejsg:

"I'm in love, but I don't think it's love if it's never going to happen. Who? who knows? just me. I've told you all I want you to know. So fush fush begon, before you cause a scene."

What can we expect from you in the future, Blazejsg?

Blazejsg:

"Oh, I won't stick around too long. I'll eventually get married if I ever meet the right guy and have a family of my own. But for now it's all about hitting the books. Soon to be a Psychology Major in the University of North Dakota."

Interview with Blazejsg

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user Jester.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose the username DirtyMeatball and changed it to Jester?

Jester:

"I "found" Newgrounds when I was 6 because my brother showed me Mr Happy Face, which to this day traumatizes me. I later went to Newgrounds on my own wondering exactly what the fuck I had just witnessed and was like "This is pretty cool." Around 08 I made an account, but I won't say the name of it because I don't want anyone to see how stupid I was. Eventually I myself realized it was filled with the stupid, uneducated opinions of an 11 year old, so I abandoned it and made this one. I came up with the name Dirtymeatball of the top of my head and just kinda rolled with it for however old this account is because all the names I wanted were taken, but I recently learned if you can prove an old account is inactive to an admin, they might delete it and give you its name."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?

Jester:

"I used to be an angsty little bastard because I thought I was thoughtful and emotional, but now a couple years later I've realized i'm neither of those and i'm happy-go-lucky all the time, except for random mood swings I have caused by random things. For example, a week ago it occurred to me that my friend from kindergarten, Scott, had cancer and very well may be dead now, so I got all sad and skulked around for awhile before I got a burrito from Chipotle and my mood went back to normal. That's probably kind of fucked up, but my mind works how my mind works, I don't really decide what emotions I want to feel."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Are there any other users that you like, and how do they affect you?

Jester:

"Anyone who's an active member knows that Skaren is my internet main man, but as for other users I like, off the top of my head in no particular order there's YenMuffin, KillerSkull (who set me up with this interview), Tonypar16, Ilssm, Timmy (He, Skaren, and I play Minecraft every now and again), Mumbo, Wavepad, and arguably Protagonist and Otto because I like them but i'm not sure if the feeling is mutual. Sorry if i'm forgetting anyone who considers themselves my friend, there's a lot of users to keep track of. There's also Ngman7, who I don't actually like, but he is my favorite user."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Are there any users that you would consider enemies or that you just don't like?

Jester:

"There's nobody that I actually don't like, but i'm pretty sure Tramps and Bees don't like me. I disagree with most everything FBIpolux says and I think he's kind of a dick sometimes but I've never actually talked to him so I can't really judge him justly. People who try to advertise their websites or other crap they've made annoy me, but they're very rarely actual active users so I don't really care about them in the grand scheme of things."

Jester:

"The Newgrounds forums are the only ones I've ever really used, and General has lost a lot of users over the years, but I still enjoy it. It became more mature, I guess, because there used to be cock jokes left and right and now they're almost exclusively in photoshop threads. I guess that could be good or bad depending on how you feel about cocks. I'd suggest you interview Protagonist because he's a literary genius, but since you're already doing that, you should see if Ilssm is interested."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

I guess that you have an opinion about the moderators of Newgrounds. Do you think that they do a great job or not?

Jester:

"Timmy is the coolest mod but isn't all that active, and Eyelovepoozy seems like he doesn't come here anymore, so I think the best mod award goes to Turkeyonastick, because he runs the art forum pretty much single-handedly, and he runs it well. There have been multiple occasions where somebody has denied tracing something, and Turkey has found the original image almost immediately and proved that the user's was traced. The other mods all do their jobs well, but I think Turkey has the art forum straightened out more so than any other mods have accomplished with the other forums."

Would you like to become a moderator on Newgrounds? If so, what kind of moderator?

Jester:

"I'd be a terrible mod. The first thing I would do is see if I can ban other mods because that's something I've always wanted to do, then i'd ban people for having pony icons cause that shit is annoying. Except Mumbo, he's allowed to keep his. Afterwards, knowing that I'd be demodded soon, I'd lock as many threads as I could because if they're gonna take away my modliness I'm gonna at least leave behind a mess for somebody to clean up. So hopefully I'll never become a mod."

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Jester:

"I really like it, I don't understand why so many people don't. It really makes the site more appealing in my opinion, and I rarely have any site problems anymore. I do, however, wish there was a preview post option so that I can make sure my links and quotes and such are working right. But still, congratulations to the Newgrounds team for pulling it off so well."

It seems like you are learning german. Do you like the german language and is it easy or difficult to learn?

Jester:

"I definitely like it and it's not too difficult, but to say it's easy is an exaggeration. It's really almost just a matter of learning sentence structure, and from there on it's pretty much just a matter of expanding your vocabulary. I'm about to start my third year of it, and what I think is most difficult is the speaking exams where you talk into a microphone while recording your voice so the teacher can listen to them individually and grade you. For whatever reason it's a thousand times harder for me to talk into a microphone than to just talk to a person."

Every person has secrets. Can you tell one of yours or something else that we didn't know about you yet?

Jester:

"Well there's not a lot I keep a secret on the internet since odds are i'll never meet any of you people, but i'm sure I can think of something. It's not a very good secret, but I've tried and given up on the acoustic guitar, the electric keyboard, the violin, and the ukulele before finally accepting that I don't have musical talent or the patience you need to get good at playing instruments. Also, i'm 6 feet tall but only weight 145 pounds and my weight hasn't changed over the entire summer. That's not really a secret but it's not something Newgrounds knows."

What can we expect from you in the future, Jester?

Jester:

"One day I would love to make a steampunk-themed webcomic but assuming I do so it'll be years before I start it. I've got a ton to learn in the field of art before I start anything big. I'm taking a graphic design class during my 11th and 12th years of high school so that ought to help me out."

Interview with Jester

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user Sensationalism.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose your username?

Sensationalism:

"I didn't find Newgrounds. My brother and my cousin found Newgrounds and convinced me to make an account. I'd seen flashes on Newgrounds before like Burnt Face Man and Salad Fingers, but I never typed in the address myself until my family members introduced me to it. I was immediately drawn to the forums. I also diligently deposited daily and started working on my whistle and B/P. You could say I started off being a stat whore. My username is pretty much from this line in a P!ATD song which was my favorite band at the time: Start talking a sensationalist Oh, he's slightly clever to just a certain extent. I liked the way it sounded and didn't put much thought into it beyond that."

Sensationalism:

"I've been through quite a bit in real life since I started here. But I have noticed that even though I've gone through some shit, the core of my personality still shines through. I am still optimistic and positive. The way other NGers view me has probably changed a bit every now and again as well."

Sensationalism:

"There are so many users that I like! I fluctuate on talking to someone frequently and hardly at all. But regardless of that, I like them just the same! I have met such awesome people here and I just love the community. This is the only forum I've ever visited that made me feel at home and like I'm part of a family here. That may sound a bit weird. But as far as online goes, this is where I feel I fit in the most. They affect me by making me feel good, giving me something to do, and giving me someone to talk to. I truly care about the people I've made connections with, even if I only know them online."

Sensationalism:

"I don't have any enemies. There are a couple users I'm not very fond of, but I'm willing to change my mind about them. I am not going to say who they are. But I will say that sometimes I may argue with or be unpleasant with someone in the forums if I disagree with what they are saying. That pretty much never affects how I view them outside of that conversation. I'll still have a positive or neutral viewpoint about them and be fine talking with them in PMs, or other topics or whatever. So there's that plus anyone I don't like has the potential for me to like them if I find out more about them."

Sensationalism:

"Ahhh the forums. Not always terribly entertaining, but I'll keep coming back for the people and the community. I do miss certain things about them like certain users or things we were allowed to do. But it's growing and changing and hopefully never dying! I prefer "general" because it's the most active. But I like the "clubs and crews" section very much too. It's nice to be able to go and talk to people who share your interests. My third favorite is "where is/how to", some really nice people hang out there. I don't know if you've interviewed them before but either AlphaCentauri or Timmy would be cool to see interviews of."

Sensationalism:

"Lately it seems like I've seen much less of the mods working. It seems like things have gotten a bit lax but maybe more is going on than I'm able to see. There are some mods I see locking threads and such and doing a fine job. I respect the mods but I certainly don't envy them. There are a few that I would consider my online friends and I'm very glad that I've been able to positively interact with them because they are really cool people, bbs job aside."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Would you like to become a moderator on Newgrounds? If so, what kind of moderator?

Sensationalism:

"No I would not want to be a moderator. When I first started I hoped to be a forum mod. Why? Because it would give me more attention. Not a good reason at all! Now that I'm a reg I really don't care about any of that stuff. Once in a great while I will see someone doing something that makes me wish I was a forum mod so I could use my mod powers to stop them. But that doesn't happen very often and I have no desire to actually be a mod other than those few moments."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

You were a member before the redesign 2007. Tell me how you experienced Newgrounds back then and what changes you liked about the redesign.

Sensationalism:

"The main things I remember are that the "blow my whistle" song was awesome, the animation at the top of the portal was awesome, animated sigs were awesome, and getting past level 9 was a bitch. Or to level 9. Something about it. The profiles looked nicer after the redesign. Losing the ability to change usernames at will made things a bit less fun but was also nice. Changing names for holidays and stuff like that was fun, so was switching names with someone. But actually knowing who people are is just as nice. I do miss the animated sigs though. RoobyKillAll was my favorite animated sig maker."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

The redesign 2012 has arrived earlier this year. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Sensationalism:

"The level icons are really ugly now. I stopped depositing because I have one of the few decent-looking level icons. And I set my image as the level I always wanted because it doesn't exist anymore. As a whole, the site looks nice. I don't have much more than that to say about the recent redesign."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Aww gee, I love you guys!! is a list of users that you like and made back in 2009. Looking at it today, most of those people left. Can you tell me which users that left Newgrounds you miss the most?

Sensationalism:

"Certainly Williwowza. He was one of the funniest and nicest guys around plus he had an awesome accent and is easy on the eyes. I think everyone loved him. I miss Maximus because I never hear from him or see him anymore. That bums me out, he was a cool kid.D3ntatus because he was smart and a fellow member of Revird.GreenskullKid. Hayf. RkThrilla. Robotussin. Shreddy omg I almost forgot about him, he was awesome. TropicalParadise. There are a few on that list who no longer frequent NG but I still interact with them other ways so I don't miss them as much as those I rarely ever see anymore."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

You are a vegan. Can you tell me why and when you made this decision? Did it occur that people showed intolerance towards you for being one?

Sensationalism:

"I chose to be vegan when I was 17. I started being vegetarian when I was 16 and it progressed from there into veganism. It was for health reasons and the not wanting to eat animals part grew from there too. I didn't tell people unless they found out or I thought they should be aware of it. I got lots of intolerance toward me because of it and ridicule and questions and all that. Which I found terribly ironic because people expect vegans to act that way and feel threatened by them. But the reality is most vegans keep their mouths shut and yet meat eaters feel the need to harass them. It was very annoying and after 7 years I quit. I still eat a mostly veg diet though and have discovered many new foods and recipes and have a greater respect for animals."

Back in 2009, you stated in one of your newsposts that you want to become a teacher. Is that still your wish and you have you come closer to that goal? If not, what career are you aiming for now?

Sensationalism:

"Yes, I am still in school to become a teacher. I have one semester left. My schooling currently consists of working in a daycare plus a bunch of paperwork I get graded on. However, I also have been working with children who have Autism providing one on one therapy. I love that job and it's very rewarding, even when I get bit really hard. So I am thinking I may prefer to do that. I currently have the title of "line therapist". We're the ones who see the kid almost daily and interact with him/her the most and help them achieve their goals. We also get paid the least. I would like to be a "senior therapist" in the future. I'd see more children, but wouldn't see them as often. I would be in charge of setting goals and planning activities. To do that though I would need two more years in early childhood with special ed as part of my degree. So depending on how things go, I will either be a lead teacher in a daycare or I'll be a senior therapist in the future."

Every person has secrets. Can you tell one of yours or something else that we didn't know about you yet?

Sensationalism:

"Hmmm a secret. Well I have a guilty pleasure website that I go to. It relieves stress and sometimes my sister and I show each other what we made. Soooo my secret is I'm 24 and I visit dollzmania.com"

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

What can we expect from you in the future, Sensationalism?

Sensationalism:

"Expect to see me hanging around the forums as always."

Interview with Sensationalism

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user Ilssm.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose your username?

Ilssm:

"Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. I want to say around 2008 - 2009, but it could have been before that. The only real memory I can recall of having found out about this site in the first place was on accident I think, when I somehow stumbled on to some kind of Halo Flash on here from 2009. I can't remember what it was, but I do remember it being funny. I joined the community almost a year ago, in October 2011, so I could find another place besides Youtube to submit my animations. I also got sucked in to the forums as well. The name 'Ilssm' is something I created back when I was only 10 or 11. I had to make a username so I could use the computers at my school, for whatever reason. It stands for 'I love school so much', which is a blatant lie, but it was the only thing I could think of back then, for whatever reason. I still use it now as a mix of nostalgia/I'm too lazy to make something that's actually cool."

Ilssm:

"In the past few months, ( At least in my eyes ) I feel like I've matured a little, just a little. When I first joined I was quick on the bandwagon to throw personal insults in an argument or make fun of other users for no real reason, and I've recently stopped doing that because, well, I realized I don't like being a punk. I also think that this attitude has more-or-less transferred into my real life as well, which is a good thing."

Ilssm:

"I consider everyone on here to be cool until the prove to me otherwise. I consider people like NeutralObjections, Otto, Saminat, Lionelion, VicariousE, and 4761 to be good friends, because I talk to them frequently. Some of them Voice Act for me, some of them critique me on my work, and some of them are just people who I think are awesome. Like I said before though, I can get along with pretty much everyone, because usually, I can find at least one thing in common with someone. Usually."

Ilssm:

"I don't really dislike anyone, but I got annoyed by a lot of users. Very often. Although, I don't feel like I should name who, even though this is the standard part of the interview, because I really want to keep everything on a positive note, if that's alright with you."

Ilssm:

"The forums, in my honest opinion, are alright. They have their own pros and cons, just like everything does, but in general I prefer... well, General. That's where I spend most of my time. Although I do sometimes cruise over to Politics and Writing, but usually just lurk. I don't usually take thinks very seriously when posting, just ask anyone, they'll tell you what I mean. As for another forum user? Hm, I can't really think of anyone off the top of my head, but I think everyone should have a chance to do an interview, IMO."

Ilssm:

"Well from what I can tell, the mods are cool. I see a few of them get bad rap from other users, but I don't really see what they mean half the time when they talk trash about em'. I've never had a problem with any mod, so it's all good with me. As for discussion, I talk with Timmy on occasion, he's a fun and laid back guy, it seems. Everyone else I never really get a chance to speak with, but in my book they are fine, considering they haven't done anything to make me think otherwise."

Ilssm:

"I've never had any real desire to become a mod, but somehow, if I did wind up with the option, probably a forum moderator, considering that's where I spend a majority of my time on NewGrounds. Now, as to the question whether people would like me or not, that's really up for debate. My personal answer? 50/50, if I'm lucky."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Ilssm:

"Well, I was only here for a few months before everything got changed around, and it took awhile to get used to it, but yes, I do like the new re-design. In my opinion it makes the site 'Come alive' every-time I log in, it's a really pleasant layout and I think it was a good design choice. If I had to pick what I didn't like as a design, it's the lack of an edit button for the forums. I know Tom has his reasons, but sometimes I really wish I could go back in time and change what I say on there."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Not only are you an animator but also a voice actor. Do you find it difficult to make the animation itself and the voice acting work together nicely? Is there a voiceact of yours that you are especially proud of?

Ilssm:

"When animating, surprisingly, I find it really easy to make it blend. It's really because I know what I want EXACTLY when I'm doing the voices, like how certain lines should be said, so it makes things a lot easier for me in the long run. Plus, I almost always have to voice at least one character, big or small, in my animations... I feel like I'm required to, since I can. It's a personal thing, and a fun one at that."

Your flash movie "How L4D Should Have Ended" won a daily award. Were you proud about winning that award?

Ilssm:

"Yes, very. Ironically, I just did it one day because I was bored, and now it's become one of the things I'm most known for, on here and on Youtube, where's it accumulated around 6 - 8 thousand views, last time I checked. I actually made it when I first was switch animating method/styles, I now use what I think is Cell animation, and that was one of the first major examples I created from it. I am very proud of that award."

Speaking of flash movies, you have worked together with some other voice actors in the past. Do you like the increased possibilities to work together that the Newgrounds project system brought? Is there a voice actor that you would like together with in the future?

Ilssm:

"The project system has made my life that much easier when adding a contributor to one of my animations, I really do like it, yes. Just being able to add anyone now instead of waiting for a friend request ( Or whatever they were called ) approval does make things better for me. If I could chose to work with another VA, it would probably be Egoraptor. He's hilarious and awesome. Although I doubt I'll ever get the chance. But hey, who knows?"

You have your own youtube channel where you uploaded the first 2 episodes of the series "Kyle and Bill". How did you get the idea for that series and are you planning to release more episodes in the near future?

Ilssm:

"The idea for the series was actually based of a quick Frame-by-Frame test I made with Sony Vegas Pro 10 and MsPaint, back in early April of this year. The characters were just quick sketches I made just for the test, and since I didn't want them to look exactly the same, I gave one a mask. Also, since it was just a test, I voiced both characters, the one that would become 'Kyle' with a higher, nerdy pitch to him, and 'Bill' with my regular voice. Curious, I created the first episode as more or less a test, with the intention that if it got positive feedback, I'd make more, which it did, very much so. I am actually working on the third one for the series now, it will be for this Halloween, a themed episode. I'm actually only planning for there to be ten episodes total. Why? Idk, I feel like it's a good, round number to stop at. Decent ideas don't go on forever."

Interview with Ilssm

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user Boomstick.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose the username MrRager and changed it to Boomstick?

Boomstick:

"I found it in about '08 probably. I was very bored that summer, and I couldn't do much. So I browsed for a while on bored.com and played random games all day. I think I must have been linked to mostly NG games, but never cared. I did sign up though in '10 in a slightly older account just to vote on a game. I choose the name MrRager based on an album I had recently purchased and thought it was cool. I then changed it to Boomstick, because I fell in love with Evil Dead and Bruce Campbell."

Boomstick:

"I'd like to think I did, I pretty much was carefree before. I'm still nonchalant, but not as much. I know when to be serious and can tell when something is meant to be serious or not. Overall I've learned to hate more things because now I see the truth of it all."

Boomstick:

"Natick is awesome, he always knows what to say and doesn't make mistakes usually. Dr.Skaren is fun and really knows a lot. BizzarroPMP is a nice guy, he never strikes me as a bad person. Kane-Farrell is always righteous, even if he goes on 4chan. Platypuspwn is automatically awesome for liking platypuses and is really younger than we think."

Boomstick:

"Mostly younger users that really act immature and just won't stop. I would list who they are, but I'd rather not since it would be rude of me. As for others who provoke anger in other people, I find them funny. I don't care if they insult me, it's just funny how imaginative they can get. Furries are a thing that irk me, there are a few I can stand. Not a lot though."

Boomstick:

"The forums are okay, General being the teeter-totter of them all. I go on it the most, but I do visit clubs and crews sometimes. Rarely I go on VG Forum, but that's because I'm rarely buying any new games. 1 user I think you should interview is GoodFish aka 24901miles. I dunno if you have already, and I'm not too intent on finding out. You should though, he's very good at photoshopping."

Boomstick:

"Recently they have seem to become less strict. I remember when posting in an image spam thread would get everyone banned for at least a day. It seems someone made them lighten up. I'm not saying it's bad, but I'm not saying it's good either. Back-From-Purgatory seems to a good moderator now that he or she got activated."

Boomstick:

"Not really, well maybe a chat moderator. I think I'd just abuse that though. Moderating seems more of a babysitting job, getting called to do jobs, spam from those who hate you. It doesn't really seem all that fun."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Boomstick:

"It's nice, very orangy. It was weird at first, but I've grown to love it. The only thing I miss are the secrets, I can only wonder what new secrets will be available next. I do like the new backgrounds for a holiday or NG Holiday, it's different than before."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

You seem to be a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Can you tell our readers how you became a fan and what you like about the show? Has being a brony affected your life?

Boomstick:

"It is a fun show, though I have grown tired of the fandom. It's really not fun anymore, it used to be secretive and mostly discreet. Now it's pushed in everyone's faces and exploited to hell and back. I became a fan by watching Friendship is Magic Bitch by Skaijo. I really enjoyed it and decided, "What the hell, I'll watch one episode." I started to enjoy it, I felt a bit embarrassed at first. Before I knew it I starting watching most of the first season at 2 am. It was fun, but now because of conventions, furries transferring over, and it being forced. It's just bland and sickening."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

You visit the Newgrounds Featureless Chat from time time. Do you like the chat?

Boomstick:

"It's okay, conversations are always happening to say the least. The abundance of young users is what aggravates me, I don't mean teenagers. Preteens are on there, less than 13 years of age. It's just weird. Usually it's fun, but just those preteen children are what make it sad."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Every person has secrets. Can you tell one of yours or something else that we didn't know about you yet?

Boomstick:

"I think some people know, but not a lot. My mother had me when she was about 15 years old. I grew up with her and my grandmother raising me. I don't have a difficult life, my step-dad was really kind to me and I grew up fine. I do visit my real dad sometimes, in fact he and my step-dad are friends."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

What can we expect from you in the future, Boomstick?

Boomstick:

"Not much, maybe some art. I'm not good at making art or anything, or even know how to make flash. So I'm not really confident on that. I am going to take an automotive course, so I'll probably whore out pictures of a truck I'll intend to fix. Thank you for the interview Asandir."

Interview with Boomstick

Posted by Asandir - August 27th, 2012

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user Mumbo, who will talk about MLP and about his thoughts on the chat. Also, it has been exactly a year now since I started to make those interviews. I want to thank everyone who participated in the series, you delivered awesome answers and made the interviews great :)

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose the username SolidToad and why did you change it to Mumbo?

Mumbo:

"I found Newgrounds in like, 08. I remember it was the year Michael Jackson died, so maybe earlier or later. However, I chose to lurk the forums before finally making an account, mostly because I was lazy and didn't feel like making an email to make an account. First world problems, eh? But I eventually stopped lurking and decided to make an account. The reason I chose SolidToad was a really stupid reason. I had been watching Chuggaaconroy's Let's Play of Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door, and it was playing in the background. I remember him talking about the part where you go stealth with Princess Peach to get documents from General Grodus or something, after which he said "Another crisis heavily averted by Solid Peach," making reference to Snake from MGS. I was replaying TTYD as well, so I decided to use Toad instead of peach, for obvious reasons, and since Toadette is like the best ever. I recently changed my name though to Mumbo, since I've been replaying Banjo-Tooie recently. Mumbo is probably one of my all time favourite characters from video games. Dat Skull."

Mumbo:

"I've definitely changed during my stay here. I recently got back from CIY in Western Illinois University, which was great and refershing, reminding me to at least try my hardest to be a good Christian, and you know, that tends to have influences. But I haven't posted since I got back (as of yet) so that is yet to be seen. In some users (Travis) eyes, I'll probably still continue being annoying, just because some users (Travis) just need some form of self-justification or something petty of the like. Now obviously my recent activities haven't been my only change. I have been here since before I was a (gasp) Brony, and I was definitely different then. But that is a horse of a different colour, so I'll go over that in the question directed towards it. A lot of my Newgrounds habits are directly affected by how my day has been. If I've been hanging out with my friends Jess or Amber, I'm probably going to be more effimenate and horny than I would have been if I say, just got done working out. I'd probably act more like Rhinocerider in that case. He's so cool~"

Mumbo:

"As mentioned above, Rhinocerider is like, my e-spotter or wingman or what have you. He's an awesome user. Another buddy would be Xenomit, of course (<3) and as of late, zag has made it into my heart. s/he is actually really cool, despite some negative opinions from others. Skaren and I have quite the love hate relationship, but I'd say we're still friends. I know that his internet assholery is nothing but Baylife and I can't really blame him. Of course, I still have a laundry list of friends on my userpage, so I'll just list more of the tops without textwalling your entire interview with mindless prattle. Amaranthus is totally in love with me, so I was inclined to add him. Funneemonkee is like the best ever, and she's really hot, yet smart and deep too. ( I made a Tumblr just to follow her <3) YenMuffin is a friend on Xbox Live and we both annoy the shit out of our friend Bates (Lol, Bates) and so he's pretty cool. I have a friend named Henry Bankshaft, but everyone just calls him Chaw, so I do too.BizzarroPMP I would say is my forum wingman more than Rhino. Remember those stupid threads I made about poisoned cupcakes and grinding children into skittles? Yeah, Rhino made followup threads for my Job one, and posted consistently in the other. He's really cool. And last but not least, there's some guy named Asandir on my list. He's like never online and I can't remember the last time we had sex."

Mumbo:

"I disagree with having enemies, but I have some, yes. At most, I would say my enemies are the common ones, such as Insanctuary and his billions of alts, or even ngman7, just because he's annoying. However, my real only enemy is Fluttershy. He is so annoying, and it seems like he strives to give bronies a bad name. Back in like 07 or something he was found to have over 20 alternate accounts, if memory serves, and then Fluttershy itself, which just shows that this user has nothing much to really do but annoy others. He doesn't even do it as well as I do, I mean come on."

Mumbo:

"The forums are despairingly declining. I love them to death, as seen by my rediculous posting habits, but for lack of a better explanation, I'd say that they really were better in 07. Not to be one of THOSE guys, but it was true. You couldn't possibly have a topic with the last post being 2 hours ago on the front page of General. Of course, I love General, but it seems like the only people using it are the new users, and the battle-hardened asshole "old users" as they like to be known. They like to think highly of themselves for wasting more of their life on NG than the rest of us~"

Mumbo:

"Most moderators do good jobs, yes. EyeLovePoozy is like the best mod ever, simply because he doesn't give a fuck. Others (Murray and Travis) are extremely bias. Even though Travis is a useless mod with no real power, he still has that self-righteous air about him. Murray however simply hates bronies. As such, he will be more inclined to ban them for small shit that no one else would get in trouble for, and now double such for me since I've just told you that. But I don't care. I can hold my ground. And of course who doesn't love Asandir the chat mod!"

Mumbo:

"I'd love to be a forum moderator and a chat mod, if not because I would be decent at it, then for the sheer fact that I wouldn't need to put up with bullshit from spammy sillyheads, or for that matter, other mods. You know who. But the fact remains that I'd need to be here like 6 years or more to even begin to be considered, and even then I'd think Gagsy would be the next mod. Coupled with the fact that asking for modship pretty much garuntees the opposite, and I have pretty much just done that, I'd say my chances are slim to none. Whatever, I'll enjoy the forums for as long as they live either way."

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Mumbo:

"I miss the chick with her knockers on the screen. The redesign was great, but now it's just become a regular thing again, kind of like gays in society. People will still be butthurt over it sometimes, but it's generally accepted. I miss the Mature content bar at the top of the page, but I'd rather find better quality stuff elsewhere. The old portal style was fine, I can't find anything in this mess unless I click "Classic portal" on the dropdown menu. I think eventually I'll be tired of the brown colour scheme though. Redesign 2013 anyone?"

You seem to be a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Can you tell our readers how you became a fan and what you like about the show? Has being a brony affected your life?

Mumbo:

"Oh boy. It started when my friend AJ walked in to our history class wearing a Pinkie Pie shirt. I was like "Haha, whut?" as he explained. He pestered me to try it, so I told him I might. Two days later I was bored and on youtube. So I typed in "MLP: FiM E1 S1" and watched it. Over the span of the next few days I had downed the entire first season. I fell hard for the candy coloured ponies and the complete badassery of one in general; Rainbow Danger Dash. After I saw "Sonic Rainboom" my position was locked. I had my Rainbow Dash shirt ordered like the next week. Brony-ism (?) has made me more acceptant of people and definitely more friendly. You should try it. Lest you end up like Travis."

You regularly use the Newgrounds Featureless Chat. Do you like the chat?

Mumbo:

"The chat is a nice addition. Personally I liked Radio Chat better for the rooms and ability to password it, but it was too much drama. The NG Chat has been long in coming, and has a decent community when Gory bans all the nubs that spam "b" and such things. Skaren is banned from it too, which is hilarious! I enjoy the quick talk ability that a forum simply cannot provide. As for the featureless part, you're required to have an account, so there's a feature. But instead of smartassing my way about the "featureless" part, I'll just say that, in not so many words: Yes I like the chat."

Every person has secrets. Can you tell one of yours or something else that we didn't know about you yet?

Mumbo:

"I've been looking for a way to tell people about this for a while, but not all the people, you know? Only if someone actually cared about me would they decide to read my interview, lest they be your normal readers, which I'm pretty sure I'm already friends with (HEART) so you have provided me with the perfect chance: I'm a Hermaphrodite. Yeah. Surprising huh? Genetic mutations are a beach with 120 degree sun and humidity. If anyone really cares to inquire, I'll accept PMs, but I'd prefer to not discuss much of that right here. Also, Jermy Soule is the best musician this side of the cosmos."

What can we expect from you in the future, Mumbo?

Mumbo:

"More irritatingly silly threads for the General forum, and definitely more activity in general as it is summer. Once I can manage to either get a bamboo tablet or something or a scanner, I'll start submitting art. You may not guess it, but I love art. I completely LOVE drawing and sculpting. Lastly, I'd like to thank you for inviting me to do this all those months age Asandir. You rock, keep up the good work!"

Interview with Mumbo

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user KillerSkull.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose your username?

KillerSkull:

"I found Newgrounds almost immediately after I started regularly using the internet. I would have to say this was around 2003. I came across Newgrounds simply because I discovered flash games and animations on another website (unfortunately, the name of the website escapes me at the moment) and in my search to find more I came across Newgrounds. It really wasn't until 2006 that I started visiting the forums though and even then, I spent most of my time in the portal. It wasn't until the end of my freshman year of high school that I decided I wanted to post on the forums, which combined with the fact that I wanted to keep track of my favorite flashes, meant I had to create an account. The name KillerSkull actually comes from a real stupid thing I used to do with my friends throughout the eighth grade. When we were bored in class or during lunch, we would often debate over which logo or famous icon spelled the most doom for those who saw it. My vote in these silly debates was for the Jolly Roger, as it is often associated with pirates, but my real reasoning was that the widely known form of the Jolly Roger, the skull and crossbones, is often used to warn of deadly hazards or situations. Thus I got the term KillerSkull which I used as my username."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?

KillerSkull:

"As I user, I do believe I have matured much more from how I was when I signed up back in 2008. That is still not saying much though, I do love to just goof around on the BBS and now the chat, but I feel like my general posting style has changed, even if it has shortened in average length. Also, since signing up, I have developed some decent skills with flash, so should I ever get my hands on the software, I might be able to turn out some okay works should I feel like it. As a person, I know I have matured since my sign up, I have become so much more tolerant to other people and tend to be a much more calm individual than I was back when I signed up."

KillerSkull:

"I usually do not like to pick favorites, but I am particularly fond of Jester and Skaren as users on the BBS. I like them because they are fun, especially when they post together. Jester especially seems to have a sense of humor similar to mine. I also have a blast with Klobb17 as he is just a load of fun to interact with. I would have to say these are some of my favorite users, but I'm also fond of LittleWashu, Piggler and Suprememessage as well as you Asandir. As users, the people I mentioned really do make the BBS a lot of fun to come to. I always look forward to what they post as it is usually something I will enjoy."

KillerSkull:

"I don't like to hate other users. However, there are users who I tend to get irritated by or I just don't agree with. yurgenburgen is one such user but I do not really feel like being negative towards other users because I know I am probably not the most popular user as well. Also I tend to dislike users who just come on to Newgrounds and talk trash about how the rest of the user base needs to get a life."

KillerSkull:

"Without a doubt, the General BBS here on Newgrounds is my favorite forum. I've liked the layout of the forums since the '07 redesign. The whole BBS is designed so well, I like how it doesn't have too many features, ones that would just get in the way and make the forums feel cluttered. At the same time, it doesn't have too few features either. The BBS has been this way since I started coming to it and this is why I love it so much. As for a forum user I'd like to see you interview: you have already interviewed Skaren and Sevkat, so I would have to request Jester or Klobb17. I think both of those users would make for a fun interview."

KillerSkull:

"The moderators are pretty much just regular users aren't they? I mean sure, they have the power to ban and lock threads and stuff, but I don't see how that should influence my opinion of them other than the fact that I should respect their decisions (maybe more so than the average user). I do think they are very good at their jobs, there is really never a time on Newgrounds where the BBS is out of control because they do their job so well. Even if an incident happens while the moderators aren't on, they're still able to clean things up once they get back on. The chat does clearly need a couple more moderators, but even that hardly ever seems to get out of control."

KillerSkull:

"When I first made my account, I though that being a forum moderator would be an awesome thing. Now the thought of being a forum moderator doesn't excite me too much. If I was offered the position I would say yes and try to be as helpful as I can, however I can see how it would be a pain. Being a chat moderator does sound like it could be fun though...."

You are a fan of Rammstein. Which songs do you like the most? You also visited Rammstein concerts. Please tell our readers how you experienced those concerts.

KillerSkull:

"I love 'em. They've been my favorite band for as long as I can remember. I know this sounds lame, but I genuinely love all of their songs. However, I do love their performances of "Feuer Frei!" "Du Hast" and "Links 2-3-4." Yes, I have been to their concerts, four of them to be exact, I thoroughly enjoyed myself at all four of them. My first two I had floor tickets and both times I was able to make it either to the front, or near it. It's crazy up in the front at their concerts. For my first concert, I enjoyed the pyrotechnics of "Feuer Frei" and "Du Hast" and at my second show I enjoyed the performance of "Ich Tu Dir Weh." For my last two, I soaked in the whole show. I think anyone can enjoy their shows, regardless of what music they are into."

Judging from your usericon, you seem to like the anime series Naruto. Tell me what you like about that series. Are you still watching the anime/reading the manga? Who is your favourite good Ninja and favourite villian?

KillerSkull:

"Yes I do like Naruto, but I want to clarify something for all the other users. It might be my favorite, but it's not the only anime I watch. It was an anime I got into with my friends when the English dub came out. From there I started watching the Japanese version. I'm also a big fan of the composers that did the music, both for Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden. I'd have to say my favorite character is Kiba, which is why I use him as my user icon. I don't really have a favorite villain from the series."

Every person has secrets. Can you tell one of yours or something else that we didn't know about you yet?

KillerSkull:

"Well, everyone probably already knows I'm bi, so I guess that won't work for this question. While I keep secrets from my family and friends outside of Newgrounds, I don't really keep any on the internet. I guess I'll have to go with something people may not know about me: I'm only 5'4. There I said it, I'm a shorty."

What can we expect from you in the future, KillerSkull?

KillerSkull:

"Pretty much what you're getting out of me now. I'm still just going to be coming to Newgrounds to goof off and have fun. I'll continue to post on the BBS and I'll continue to chat in the chat room. If I do get my hands on Flash, then I might make a few flashes and if I like them enough, then I would consider posting them to the portal, but that is no guarantee."

Interview with Killerskull

Posted by Asandir - August 13th, 2012

Asandir's interviews with Newgrounds forum users

This week's interview features the user Entice. He will talk about having snails as pets and his vacation at The Frand Canyon.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join?

Entice:

"I first visited Newgrounds in 2008. I had only recently gotten my first computer and my brother and I went to www.vivalagames.com often to play flash games. This led me to Helmi Bastami's website (www.flyborg.net/). After watching a few of his flash tutorials and trading a few emails I decided that I wanted to create flash games and animations. Helmi had a Newgrounds account so naturally I was led here, and I've been visiting Newgrounds on and off ever since."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Why did you choose the username brgraybr and why did you change it to GuerillerroHeroico?

Entice:

"Bgraybr was just my assigned username for the computers at my school with a "b" added to the front. I changed it because it wasn't very recognizable and people always spelled it incorrectly. The name GuerillerroHeroico was more or less a random choice. My brother spends most of his time reading and talking about history online and I saw some pictures of Che Guevara on his computer. I didn't know who he was so I looked him up and decided that I liked his iconic picture enough to make it my icon on Newgrounds. It was already a red star so adding a tracing of Guerrillero Heroico was easy. I sent Tom another username change request but it hasn't happened yet. I'll try again in a year or so."

Changed name to Entice

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?

Entice:

"Of course. I was 14 when I made a Newgrounds account and I'm 18 now. In both real life and online, I've gotten happier and more outgoing. I used to be extremely insecure and paranoid about what people thought of me, but that's mostly gone away now. I bring that up because it's somewhat related to Newgrounds. I had very few friends in real life so listening to advice from people here was very helpful, and being myself online helped to get me in the mindset to do it in real life."

Entice:

"Natick, GhostOfHalloween, Skaren, zag, Squidbit, Asandir, Vincoid etc. There's quite a few regulars that I've taken a liking to. I don't PM people on Newgrounds very often but I see their posts on the BBS and they sometimes visit my userpage. The people here make me laugh, that's important."

Entice:

"There's more than a few users that have angered or annoyed me at some point, but only two or three users do it often and consistently enough for me to genuinely hate them. I hate hateful people. I'm not going to name any names for obvious reasons, and since I can't do anything about them I'd rather just ignore them. Oh, but I will say that I hate Sevkat. He's just retarded."

Entice:

"I prefer the Clubs and Crews forum because it gives me a chance to be a part of a smaller community that focuses on a specific topic. I usually stick to General though, simply because it's the most active forum and there's a lot of funny posts there. You should interview GhostOfHalloween next."

Entice:

"They do just fine. They're a bit on the lenient side compared to most other forum moderators, but not in a bad way. The only big thing that bothers me is that the moderator's policies seem inconsistent: some moderators will just lock a spam thread, some will lock it and ban anyone that made a post there. I also fail to understand why n*gger is censored but no other word is. Posting other forms of profanity isn't even a bannable offense."

Entice:

"Not right now. I'm going off to college in a month and I won't have time for this place there. Perhaps I would afterwards, since I plan on staying on Newgrounds. I'd prefer to become a forum moderator since that's the only part of the site that I visit regularly. If that ever does happen, I'll most likely cease posting in General unless I'm locking a thread."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Entice:

"I like the redesign overall. I like the chat but I'm still upset that there's still no way to view all of the comments that you've ever left on users' news posts. Having one place to view them all would be great. Other than that, I don't care that much."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

You have uploaded 2 flashes to Newgrounds (I made the icons for them by the way - so I am responsible if you don't like them :D ). Do you plan to make more flashes in the future?

Entice:

"Thanks! I actually thought that the icons were automatically generated by the redesign. No, I don't. Flash animation was a short-lived interest of mine. I still program but I don't work with Flash. There's a side-scrolling shooter that I've been planning in my head for over a year which might see a Flash version but it's very unlikely."

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

I heard that you have snails as pets. Do you have other pets? Is it difficult to take care of snails?

Entice:

"I have three tarantulas and a cat in addition to the snails. Snails are very difficult pets. Unlike most other invertebrate pets, they must be fed fresh food almost every day. They lay hundreds of eggs and disposing of the offspring is tricky since I'd prefer to not kill them. I still keep them because I think they're cute, but unfortunately I only have one left. I'm looking for more but since they're considered plant pest by the FDA it's hard to obtain them."

You went on a vacation to the Grand Canyon in the year 2011. Tell our readers how you experienced that time.

Entice:

"The most memorable part was finding Hermy, my first snail and(may it rest in peace). We got back to the campground after eating and it was crawling up the side of our ice chest. That wasn't at the Grand Canyon though. The Grand Canyon was HUGE. You have to see it in real life to grasp how far across it is. I've never been in such a large open space in my life. It's worth the visit. The only bad part is that it's in the middle of nowhere and once you've seen it... you've seen it. So it's quite a bit of traveling for one landmark."

Some of your posts indicate that you play video games. So far, which is your favourite video game of 2012?

Entice:

"I don't have one. I prefer older games so I only have a few new titles, and they're definitely not from 2012. Let's just say that it's the latest Minecraft snapshot, I really like the direction that game is heading."

Every person has secrets. Can you tell one of yours or something else that we didn't know about you yet?

Entice:

"That's a hard question. I don't have very many secrets and the ones I do have I won't post on Newgrounds. I'll just tell you something that I haven't told anyone on Newgrounds yet. My parents have a fluffy little Pomeranian named buddy, and it's the most annoying dog that I've ever met. It barks all the time, as if it's trying to talk to people and it's just completely spoiled."
