If you are using the BBS forums regulary, you maybe came across of one of my posts and my signature that states: "The truth, by me, about everything and everyone", maybe even by coming here by clicking on it ( You can add a link to the image in your Signature, if you did not already know that); and it´s time to live up to the expectations you have about such a sentence, so I would like to present my thoughts about some things concerning Newgrounds.
1. The rating system:
A point that is highly discussed lately and with a lot of reasoning behind it, as far as I see it, a rating of 1.6 is way too less to let a flash pass, it should be atleast an average rating of 2, if you watched the portal as actively as I did in the last months, you will come to the same conclusion as me: More and more junk passes because people vote 5 on everything to get stats, which brings me to my second point.
2.Stolen flashes and whistle system
I don´t know if you watch for stolen flashes as I do, but I can tell you a few things from my personal experience: More than half of the flashes that I blow my whistle on still keep passing through the portal, which can only have few reasons:
a, Not enough people recognise stolen flashes or do blow their whistle on them;
b, people recognise stolen flashes and still vote 5 because they know that the flash will still pass
or c, The whistle system is flawed.
I personally think it´s actually a combination of all 3 cases, I mean, if you look, I have a bronze whistle and don´t expect to have too much influence, but if a lot of people with higher-level whistles are using them on a flash and it still doesn´t get deleted, then we have a huge problem here, because it will downright demotivate people to look for these stolen flashes if their effort is not appreciated at all and this leads to more stolen flashes on Newgrounds, something that no one really wants.
So, what can be done about it? I can imagine only two things, either reworking the whistle system to make it more efficient or the second solution: nomination of portal mods( if they already have some, then more of them) who are responsible to read the Pm´s about stolen flashes, Wade Fulp can´t handle them all alone, and every other mod only responds at the moment by saying "send a message to Wade".
If you want to participate more in looking for stolen flashes or want to make sure that a flash is stolen, then I can recommend you two groups, the Newgrounds Police Dept. and the Elite Guard Barracks, they are very friendly and respond to your questions about stolen flashes and are, as far as I see it, in need of new passionate members who want to contribute in a good way to Newgrounds, so if you meet their requirements, please consider in either joining them or posting in their threads( only in one of them is enough) if you find a stolen flash, you will surely not deny it!
3.Quality of the Forum
Actually a point where I can finally say something positive, some people complain that there aren´t intellectual discussions anymore and that the forums "sucks" in comparison to last years. Fairly, I can´t talk about the past much, but have to say that we have indeed a lot of good topics everyday( you maybe recognised that I post more often lately, I apologise at this point, if my points are not always clear, english is not my native language and some things are hard to tell in an other language), there are surely topics that have not much thought put in them, but the general quality is way better than some present it, also because the forums are well moderated.
I also want to say that the userbase on Newgrounds is very friendly, something that can´t be said in such a strong extent about other forums, so I want to thank each and everyone of you who make the experience on Newgrounds so much better!
UPDATE: Well, I saw quite a few users make some kind of lists, where they list their favourite users, and to make a long story short here is "Asandir's favourite users list" ( in no particular order) :

- bilalz ( I consider him a NG friend and he is a nice user, and he improved alot lately)
- FairSquare ( Great user, has alot of good music)
- mizzjuicyflava ( Nicest person on Newgrounds, I am proud that I know her)
- POTaTOS ( Most outstanding 11er, very funny person)
- SSPBOURNE ( Another user, that I consider a NG friend)
- TheColourAwsome ( he makes fantastic signatures)
- Ejit ( Good user from 2006)
- Falonefal ( I like his attitude alot, one of the most unique users)
- space-whale ( Best user from 2010 in my opinion, hands down)
- Prome ( Cool guy and he has a good heart, I know it)
- Narcissy ( Joined 2006, is nice also to new users)
- ToastedToastyToast ( has the longest username that I can remember without problems)
- Gerbil ( Because he has a good heart
- Confucianism ( One of the best new users, I talk to him quite often via pm and he brings more intelligence to our forums)
