When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose the username Valjylmyr?
"I've been browsing Newgrounds since around 2005, and I made an account in 2006 after I found the forums. I can't for the life of me remember the username or email for that account though, so I made this one about a year after that. I made the account mostly to post on the forums, and that's pretty much all I do here, but I'm not nearly as active as I used to be. I get on here a few times a day but mostly to lurk the VG forum.
As for my username, I honestly couldn't tell you why I picked it. It's been seven years since I made my account and the reason for the username is too far beyond my memory. But, it did get me my nickname Val amongst my online friends."

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?
"I've definitely matured a lot as a person. Like I said, I'm not nearly as active as I used to be, and that's largely due to no longer feeling the need to involve myself in every discussion I see. As a user I mostly only talk in the VG forum because that's what I'm interested in. As a person I've grown up a lot... I was twelve years old when I made my first account, and I'll be turning twenty-one at the end of this month. That's plenty of time for a person to develop like I have, I think. Honestly, I'm pretty embarrassed of the person I was the first few years when I was going here. I think I can attribute that to the type of people that go here. Not that I'm saying everyone here is a bad person, but there's definitely a certain mindset that most of Newgrounds's users carry, particularly the VG forum. I'm trying to involve myself in more feminist and MOGAI stuff (being part of the queer community myself) and I think a lot of people here try to avoid that out of a lack of understanding, so I'm pretty proud of how I've developed as a person considering my past here."

Are there any other users that you like, and how do they affect you?
"I'm not really friends with anyone here. Most of the reason for that is in my previous answer. I've grown out of this community and a lot of the people I've met here."

What is your opinion about the forums? Is there one forum that you prefer? And is there another forum user that you want to see getting interviewed by me?
"The forums are the reason I go here. I mostly post in VG but sometimes I'll go to General too. I lurk in Wi/Ht a lot but I almost never post there. I don't go to any of the other forums."

I guess that you have an opinion about the moderators of Newgrounds. Do you think that they do a great job or not?
"The mods here are way better than they are on other websites. It seems Newgrounds mods have way more freedom to interpret the rules than other mods and I think that lets them moderate the site more effectively. Some can be a little harsh but again I think that just helps them control the site better."

"I have no interest in being a mod. Too much responsibility for a community I'm not too involved in."

The last redesign happened 2012. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?
"I honestly can't remember what the site looked like before the redesign, or the 2007 redesign. I do love the way the site looks, though. It's a nice layout."

You have your own gaming review blog called Val Plays Games. When and for what reasons did you start writing well detailed reviews of games? Also, which game release of 2014 impressed you the most?
"I just like writing about stuff, and video games are a huge part of my life, so I figured it would be fun to start a blog about it. As for the most impressive game this year, it's definitely going to be Dragon Age: Inquisition. I've been looking forward to this game since its announcement and I already have the deluxe edition paid off so I can pick it up on the 18th."

Seems that you like the GTA series. Tell my readers which aspects of the GTA series you like in general and which GTA title your favourite is.
"One of the best things about the GTA series is the immersion. The city always feels alive, and the people feel real and it actually feels like the player character is an actual part of the world, not just an avatar on a 3D backdrop. My favorite title by far is V. Strangely it was also the most disappointing. Rockstar built the game up so much and its features ended up being about half as impressive as they said. That being said, it was in fact the best. Voice acting was extremely professional, the map was incredible, the combat mechanics were the second best I've ever played in a third person shooter (second only to Mass Effect 3)."

I think you are a big time fan of Homestuck. Tell my readers what Homestuck is about and why you like it.
"Homestuck is a huge part of my life. A lot more than it should be. Homestuck is a webcomic written by Andrew Hussie located over here. If anyone wants to read it, keep in mind that it is VERY long. It's actually one of the longest works of fiction ever written. MSPA has three other comics that are also very good. I don't want to spoil anything about the story but I'll just say that it's a very complex and well-written comics.
Homestuck is important to me because it's how I met my girlfriend that I've been with for almost three years now. We both had Homestuck blogs on tumblr and we met each other through the tags, and now we're together. Sappy love story."

You like the band White Wizzard. When did you discover them? Which of their song(s) and/or album(s) do you like the most and why?
"White Wizzard isn't really a band. It's more like a scheme run by a very talented musician. They steal money from unwitting members and their label, and they've actually stolen the possessions of fans a few times. All that aside, they are a talented group. They have a very raw '80s classic metal sound that I love despite being a new band. I found them right before they released their first album Over the Top in 2010. I had spent a lot of time listening to their demo High Speed GTO.
My favorite album from them would definitely be Flying Tigers. It embodies what heavy metal should sound like. My favorite songs would have to be Megalodon and Fall of Atlantis."
