When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join?

Mismo:

"I think I found Newgrounds some time around the year 2003. I had seen some Madness animations on some other website and noticed the name "Newgrounds" in the pre-loader and I googled it and voilà, I found the best website for flash animations on the web. Then I don't quite remember when I first joined the site, but I think it was not so long after I discovered the voting system and I created my first account so I could make more of a difference when I voted on something. But then I think I got bored with that account and I didn't use it for a long time and forgot both what username and password I had. Then 2007 I re-signed up again with the account GuitarrMaster92, and there are two reasons I don't use it anymore. First of, I really hated the user name and secondly, I wanted a new fresh start. There is some stuff on that account that I'm not proud of."

Why did you choose your username?

Mismo:

"As I mentioned, I hated my last username, because it is so pretentious, unimaginative, not the least bit unique and it sounds boring. So when I created this account that I am using now, I wanted something simple, memorable, unique and which sounds kind of fun when you say it out loud. So I thought of this Spanish word which for some reason had stuck on to my mind, "Mismo", which means "myself" or "the same as". So I thought that it was fun that I could be myself, but also "the same as" at the same time."

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?

Mismo:

"To some extent, I guess. What have happened in my own life have effected very much on how I act here on Newgrounds. I don't know if anybody noticed or would agree with me, but over the time I have had this account I have developed a feminist opinion and I try as hard as I can to quickly end religious debates in the forums that doesn't lead anywhere. Because before I was a very cynical teenager, I loathed anything that had with religion to do. But because of one wonderful religion teacher I got a new view on religion and have a neutral view on the matter. Then there are things here on Newgrounds that have changed me too, I would think. I'm one of those guys that have learned the rules the hard way. With two BBS bans and multiple review deletions, I do now know what not to do and why."

Are there any other users that you like, and how do they affect you?

"Generally I like many of the users on Newgrounds, but there are just a few stands out amongst the other.Natick, a a very nice and awesome. I don't really know why I like him the way I do, but we get along very well and he is a funny guy. Rivergrey, very nice girl (I think :P) fun person to discuss with. Kupia, made my profile picture, and she (I thin :P) is awesome for that. Although these are person I like the most I can't say the have affected me so much, yet. Maybe in the future but not as of now. The only that has affected me is this guy Asandir. Thanks to this guys, I have started to flag abusive reviews, and I have now make much more effort when I write reviews."

Are there any users that you would consider enemies or that you just don't like?

Mismo:

"Well some people can be annoying and I'm not going to mention names. But otherwise I don't have any enemies, or dislike anyone. Well although, there is this one guy that have made himself my arch-enemy. He is a nice guy."

I guess that you have an opinion about the moderators of Newgrounds. Do you think that they do a great job or not?

Mismo:

"Well they're doing a job that can I witness for. But if they're doing good job or not I guess it depends on which mod it is. Some are doing a very good job, and they are the people that don't show that they're doing their job. In the mods case, a good job is a job unnoticed. But overall I would say most mods are doing a good job, and if they oversee something, I send them a PM."

Would you like to become a moderator on Newgrounds? If so, what kind of moderator?

"When I started here I wanted to, just so I could make sure the forum rules is uphold. But now I can say I would most certainly fuck it up. Also I don't think I could be able to keep my interest alive for so very long."

The redesign is rumoured to happen within the next months, are you looking forward to it? What kind of changes do you want to see?

Mismo:

"I'm curious, but I haven't really looked forward to it that much. I think the sites current design is good enough and I think I might miss it. But one thing I would think would be neat in the new design is an improvement of the search engine. Right now it is not so easy as one would like it to be to search for something on this site."

You said in the thread "If you described yourself by class", that you consider yourself to be a warrior. I want you to elaborate on that. Why do you think that the class warriors defines you best? Where does your heart of a warrior show in your daily life?

"Oh that, I just wrote that for laughs and giggles. I think it is boring with stereotyping, and just because one might belong in a certain class I don't think I would have traits of its stereotype. So for no reason I made fun of the idea of class and wrote and a RPG fantasy class instead. But if I would now have to analyse myself as a warrior, I would say that I'm a noble hearted man, and I live for the adventure of life."

Pets seem to be a part of your life - I am talking about your dog Elvis and your cat Figaro. How important are they for you, would you consider them family members?

Mismo:

"They're extremely important, since they are in fact family members, just the thought of losing of one of them is unbearable. Elvis is like my over energetic little brother and Figaro is my fat and lazy but also loveable uncle. If anything where to happen to them, well I can't come up with words."

You will turn 19 on the 4th of December. What kind of plans have for your personal future, job wise? Will you celebrate your birthday also on Newgrounds?

"Well I have just recently started to play in a band with some of my closest friends, and I'll be playing the base. We don't have a name yet but it will come in time, and if everything goes well we'll earn some money of it. We might perhaps get a gig this summer to play for a local restaurant/pub where we will play three nights a week, and for every night earn about 2000sek (about 300dollars) each. Other than I can just keep on applying for jobs, and hope that I get some, but I will towards next autumn start to study again. I'm thinking religion or psychology. About my birthday, I can't quite say for sure that celebrate my birthday here, but will try to pop in and see what is happening."

What can we expect from you in the future, Mismo?

Mismo:

"I was thinking about maybe start a voice acting career here on Newgrounds. But that is a big maybe, since I got to first buy a decent microphone for recording, and those things cost money. Something I'm a little bit short on. So what I can say for sure is that I will keep on my activity on the forums as good as I can. The more I have to do in my personal life the less I will be able to keep up here on Newgrounds. But nevertheless I will keep up my activity on the forums."
