When did you find Newgrounds and why did you join? Why did you choose the username Red-Cheetah and why did you change it to Amaranthus?

Amaranthus:

"I used to play games on a stupid site that doesn't credit the authors.There was a game that linked me to Newgrounds, I think it was the Several Journeys of Reemus 1 by Zeebarf. So I clicked the link and found Newgrounds, i kept visiting the site but i didn't create an account till September, it was a Friday I remember it was the last live broadcast before the redesign. I chose the name Red-Cheetah because my favorite color is red and my favorite animal is a cheetah. After the redesign i got my name changed to Amaranthus because it's a flower I fancy."

Do you think that you changed over the time you were here, as user, or also in real life?

Amaranthus:

"Well Newgrounds became one of the little things I enjoyed in life. The art forum made me draw and practice more. But other than that nothing really changed."

Are there any users that you would consider enemies or that you just don't like?

Amaranthus:

"Sure I hate Thedark for being an annoying user. I hate Wavepad for almost the same reason. I almost forgot Tails5121."

What is your opinion about the forums? Is there one forum that you prefer? And is there another forum user that you want to see getting interviewed by me?

Amaranthus:

"I don't have a favorite forum really, but I do like the art forum. I don't really know who should get interviewed but i guess I'd love to see a interview with dlxrevolution. A interview with Slint would be nice too."

I guess that you have an opinion about the moderators of Newgrounds. Do you think that they do a great job or not?

Amaranthus:

"Hard answering this, the moderators can be mean sometimes but i guess they're just doing their job. I don't know if being a moderator is a great job, because I don't know if they get payed for it. If they would receive cash for being a moderator it's a great job."

Would you like to become a moderator on Newgrounds? If so, what kind of moderator?

Amaranthus:

"Since I successfully flagged some art piece's that got deleted I think i'd make a decent art moderator. I think i would suck as a forum moderator and the same for all the other moderator business. But being an art moderator would be great."

The redesign is finally here. Tell me what you think about it. What do you like and what is not so good?

Amaranthus:

"I like the lay-outs and the fact we have a few new options like video embedding. I don't really like the new level icons, they could have been better. I also don't like the fact almost everybody uses the blending background in their icon."

The Newgrounds chat has been revealed on April 1st. What do you think about the chat and the userbase that you meet there?

Amaranthus:

"It's okay, most of the time the conversations are boring. Also the fact that I'm a kid makes it hard to be taken seriously. But having a chat is a good thing I guess."

You created the Logo Club. Tell me how you got the idea for it and what your club does.

Amaranthus:

"Well I was in the mood to create a club and I was thinking about a list of people with a logo they use. We're thinking of logo-related activities to prevent the club from getting boring."

I heard that you like animals. Do you have any pets? Do you plan to have a job where you have to take care of animals?

Amaranthus:

"Me and my sister have a rabbit. But I always had a weakness for cats, all of them, lions, cheetah's, normal cats and many more. I'm in a agri-and hericulture school so caring for animals is a subject in school in the later grades. I really can't wait to do that to be honest."

You have your own logo. Many artists have drawn their version of it, some of them are included in the flash "Amaranthus By Artists". Tell me what you think about those pictures.

Amaranthus:

"Well the first one i ever got was ThePychoSheep's one, it was one of the most epic one's and looked like a fox. The one's of Gmoose14 and BigCman321 are my second favorite because they look different than the first one. Asandir's one is the most cutest, and it's freaking 3d!Lintire's one is the one i don't like to be honest."

Pico Day happened in April. Tell me how you experienced that day. Did you like the day or were you rather disappointed?

Amaranthus:

"I was expecting more flashes and art about it. But Portal Panic by Elvidian was the best Pico Day entry this year. I like the Pico Dat logo too."

You made a thread about Dubstep recently. What kind of music do you like? Do you use the audio portal from Newgrounds? If so, who is your favourite audio artist?

Amaranthus:

"My speakers have been broken for a long time so I never visit the Audio Portal. I like the music from Daft Punk and the Chemical Brothers, I also like the song Pop Music by m. I used to like hip hop but that sucks now"

It seems that many users stick with Newgrounds because of the stats system. Do you think that the stats system makes you visit Newgrounds more regularly?

Amaranthus:

"Not really, I vote on five flashes everyday to rank and level up. It doesn't make me visit Newgrounds more no. But I do love ranking up."

"More attempts at art and more forum posting. I'll also keep collecting experience points and such. I'll also try to keep ranking up and such. Oh and Asandir, thanks for interviewing me."
